desperate measures
lying in bed last night,
asking Holy Spirit what He was doing in me.
ever so clearly,
i heard Him say, "Mark 2:4"
and thus i read.....
"And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "My son, your sins are forgiven." " (Mark 2:4-5)
i asked him what this all meant
and my heart raced with the opportunities before me...
"when you get desperate enough to open the roof above me, you will find reward of your faith. don't let anything get in between us, your healing & my touch on your life."
these men didn't let a crowd deter them
they did the unthinkable
they did something messy
they went against the norm
they were so desperate
that nothing kept them from getting to Jesus.
Lord, allow me to see the roofs in my life
that you want me to break through
to get to you.
i believe you.

wending wonder
wend - verb [intrans.] to go in a specified direction, typically slowly or by an indirect route
wonder - noun a feeling of surprise mingled with admiration, caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar or inexplicable
two simple yet packed words.
this is the journey i'm on.
traveling slowly,
being routed indirectly,
and finding joy in the little beauties of the mundane.
life is sometimes unfamiliar.
sometimes unexpected.
i seek to capture that here.
i live serving a Man whose glory is magnificent
and stunning.
he has captivated me
and set me ablaze.
i'm satisfied with this burning.
join me as i sojourn across this planet.
anchoring my hope in the
age
to
come.
and living every moment to the fullest on my way there.
